The 115mm Sapele Lumley newel posts with Langley caps make a statement at the bottom of the Sapele cut string staircase. All other newel posts are the 90mm Durham design with Langley caps which emphasises the extra detail at the opening of the stair. This also allows for the use of alternate 41mm Durham and 41mm Lumley spindles in both 900mm and 1100mm lengths on this cut string stair. The staircase has been underdrawn with sapele veneers and beading with sapele 90mm Winston caps used to finish the bottom of the pendant bases.
