Offset with compound bends the 140mm twisted bespoke newel posts give extra width to this impressive staircase. 90mm twisted volute newel posts were also turned through our bespoke service to give flow to the continuous handrail system. For a more substantial feel the customer requested 70mm Windermere spindles but the size of the squares on the ends had to be reduced to 50mm to suit the size of the handrail. As this is an oak cut string staircase the spindles were manufactured in two lengths 900mm and 1100mm long to sit directly onto each stair tread.
